| At my school we don't get a cap or robe, we get a wedding. |
(Now let me set things straight for a moment now: I didn’t actually lose my diploma in the wind – it is on my dresser - and I didn’t actually hold my diploma in front of my mom with no hands, because well, you see, that would be impossible. I did however hold my diploma with my hands in front of my mom to show her that her son did in fact graduate.)

Now onto some sports oriented posts.
When I found out the Mavs beat the Miami Heat, I had a tiny sports fandom orgasm. The thought of Lebron James loosing got me excited. The thought of David Stern having to hand over Mark Cuban the Larry Obrien Trophy erected (no pun intended) a mountain of joy that will forever stand in my memory. On top of that, Dirk and Jason Kidd finally got the championships they deserve. It was such a joyous night, it put everything back to normal. All the basketball planets aligned because the Mavs beat the heat. Everything is back to the way it should be. Everything I was ever taught as a basketball player still stands true because the Mavs won. A Basketball Team is better than a group of all-stars. Team play beats individual play. To win a championship a team needs just as much chemistry as talent. Teammates need to trust other teammates. Role players are just as important as All-stars. All those facts remain set in stone because the Mavs beat the heat. Everything I was ever taught remains true. Thank you Mavs, for reinforcing what basketball is really about: teamwork.
I watched the Lynx home opener on TV and was not ashamed to put that as my Facebook Status. Also did you know Maya Moore’s Debut Game drew a higher TV rating than any Timberwolves game this season on Fox Sports North!
Ok that the last part wasn’t true, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was.
Anyway until next time…
