Please, don’t shoot me with estrogen!

Because I got the majority of my sports blogs done earlier in the week, with exception of one Twins blog post I did today which I am particularly proud of, the rest of my blogging pertained to writing about Taylor Swift, the musical ‘Guys and Dolls’, the rock band (if you can call them that) Panic at the Disco, and some little indie pop group I have yet to hear play on the Current or in some hipster coffee shop called, “Foster the People.”

When you consider the kind of content I was writing, I might as well of had estrogen being shot directly into my blood stream.

But thankfully I am done writing about all that stuff. However, more importantly, I did so all the while somehow managing to keep my manhood (despite lack thereof) intact.

Now onto some more NBA playoff talk and basketball in general with bullet points:
  • I find it very interesting that OKC Thunder benched All-Star (and in my opinion erratic) Point Guard Russell Westbrook for the whole 4th in there game 2 win against the mavs. Are they starting to loose trust in Westbrook? Have they realized Westbrook is a pure scoring point guard and having him on the court with Durant against good teams in crunch time doesn’t work? I hope so because I think the t-wolves might be able to swing this deal with the thunder: Kevin Love and our 20th overall pick for Westbrook. If they don’t bite, throw in the 2nd overall pick for the 20th overall pick. In my opinion it helps both teams. Tell me what you think? In all honesty I think Westbrook has the potential to be great. He reminds me of a more athletic Stephon Marburry minus all the attitude problems. And we all know Starburry had the talent to be great and duo to his idiotic ego wasted it all. I think with the right coach like JB Bickerstaff, who by the way should be the Timberwolves next head coach, Westbrook can tone down how erratic he is and become one of the most exciting point guards in the league. (Let me explain: exciting and good are two different things. Chris Paul and Derron Williams are good, but the only people who get exited by them are basketball purists. The top 4 most exciting point guards to watch in my opinion are, in no particular order, Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, John Wall and Russell Westbrook. No dis to CP3 or D-Will but if I had the chose to watch John Wall, I’d chose him over both of you. That being said if I had the choice between picking a point guard to start my franchise (besides Derrick Rose) I’d pick CP3, Rondo, Westbrook, Wall and then D-Will. The reason I’d choose D-Will last is because after hearing about how he ousted Jerry Sloan, I think he has attitude problems.)
  • Rumor has it the Wolves are thinking about trading the 2nd overall pick along with either Beasley or Rubio for the Pacers Danny Granger. DON’T DO IT. All Danny Granger does is shoot threes and get injured. Take Derrick Williams please, just take him! He will be very good. He is extremely aggressive and confident. This, by the way, is the perfect combination! Why? Because if you’re confident that means you take a lot of shots. And if you are aggressive, that means you take a lot of close shots! Want to know what the best shot in basketball is? A CLOSE SHOT. (Here that, Michael Beasley the best shot in basketball is a close shot not a ‘I-am-going-to-hold-the-ball-for-22-seconds-20 feet-away-from-the basket-and-do-some-garbage-jab-steps-and-then-jack-up-a-ridicules-fade-away’ shot. )
  • For stuff on the Twins please read the blog post I posted in the Twins blogs, which you can find on the right under the side bar, “Minnesota Sports blogs I post in.”
Anyway until next time...
